Eligibility
Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Undergoing emergency abdominal laparotomy in view of intestinal perforation peritonitis induced sepsis.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Any contraindication to epidural block such as coagulation abnormalities; mean arterial pressure Failure of thoracic block assesses by loss to pin prick sensation as done routinely. Peritonitis due to trauma or tertiary peritonitis.
