Intervention1: Acupressure: patients will receive undiluted fentanyl 3 µg/kg IV over a period of 3 seconds from nearest port of intravenous cannula, with acupressure. Acupressure will be applied 30 s

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: ASA physical status I and II undergoing elective surgical procedure under general anaesthesia

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1 History of asthma/ COPD, 2 Upper respiratory tract infection in the previous 2 weeks, 3 History of smoking, 4 History of bronchodilator or steroid therapy, 5 Patient on angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitors 6 History of drugs/opioid abuse 7 History of hypersensitivity to study drug 8 Patients with lung or head and neck malignancies 9.Anticipated difficult airway
