Inclusion criteria: All patients with resectable periampullary carcinoma who give informed consent for the study
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Patients with diabetes mellitus Patients with pancreatic carcinoma Patients with periampullary carcinoma with associated pancreatic edema, unclear border or evidence of chronic pancreatitis ASA grade III / IV ECOG III / IV Patients who decline to consent
