Intervention1: Flupirtine: patients will get 100mg oral flupirtine 1 hour prior to surgery.
Control Intervention1: Placebo: patients will receive a identical looking placebo 1 hour prior to surgery

Eligibility
Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 50 female patients of ASA physical status I & II, aged between 30 to 60 years, having weight between 50-80 kg and scheduled for total abdominal hysterectomy will be enrolled.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Patients having ASA > II BMI > 30 kg.m-2 Patients having history of substance abuse. Patients having inability to use PCA pump. Allergy to study drug morphine, flupirtine. Known significant abnormalities of renal or hepatic function. Patients on warfarin.
