Intervention1: curcuma gel, tube contains 15g, patient advised to apply 5mm (approx 400mg) twice daily topically on the gums for 29 days: Contains Curcumin, derivative of turmeric Control Intervention

Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Systemically healthy individuals Possessing at atleast 20 natural teeth. All the posterior teeth in upper right quadrant excluding the third molar should be present and exhibit periodontal health or gingivitis.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: There should be no teeth with a probing depth > 3mm. Participants with any tobacco use Recent use of antibiotics, aspirin or non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) during past one month. If they necrotizing periodontal conditions, gross oral pathology, severe unrestored dental caries or clinically significant laboratory abnormalities. Pregnant and lactating mothers
