Intervention1: oral care using tooth brush, chlorhexidine and yaunker suction: oral care will be administered three times a day by registered nurse using undiluted chlorhexidine solution, tooth brush

Eligibility
Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1) Patients on oral intubation and recruited within 4-6 hrs of intubation 2) 16 years and above 3) On VAP bundle ( Head end elevation, antibiotics, H2 receptor blocker, oral care, hand hygiene, cleaning of equipments and universal precautions)
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1) Patients who are with a diagnosis of pneumonia on admission 2) Patients who are ventilated outside ICU 3) Patients on , tracheotomy, dentures, few teeth (Less than6) 4) Patients who are immune-compromised, ANC less than 500 5) Patients on immunosuppressives 6) Patients with low platelet count less than 50,000 7) Patients with oral ulcers
