Intervention1: stellate ganglion block with lignocaine: To give preoperative stellate ganglion block with 3.0 ml of 2% lignocaine and study postoperative pain in upper limb surgery. Control Intervent

Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. ASA 1 2. BMI 3. Upper limb fresh isolated frature .

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients having ASA > II 2. BMI > 30 kg.m2- 3. Patients having history of substance abuse. 4. Patients having inability to use PCA pump. 5. Allergy to study drug tramadol or lignocaine. 6. Patient with sympathetic disorder in upper limb. i.e. in diabetes 7. Patients with simultaneous acute post operative pain in other parts of the body.

MeasureTime frame
To study the effect of preoperative stellate ganglion block on postoperative pain relief after upper limb surgery.Timepoint: visual analogue scale at rest and movement in immediate postoperative,2h,4h,6h,8h,12 and 24h postoperatively

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Tramadol consumption ,hemodynamic monitoring,sedation score ,side effects including vomiting,shivering and pruritusTimepoint: At PACU admission at following time interval 2 h, 4 h, 6 h, 8 h, 12 h and at 24 hour interval.
