Inclusion criteria: Inpatients who meet the ICD 10 Diagnostic Criteria for Research for Bipolar Affective Disorders (F31.0 to F31.9)

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Inpatients with Organic mental disorders or mental retardation or those who do not give written informed consent
