Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: All pts. >18yrs of age requiring lung isolation irrespective of the method used for isolation. The devices currently used for lung isolation are left or right Portex Blue Line endobronchial tube and Coopdech endobronchial

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Refusal of consent 2. Failure to insert the lung isolation device. 3. Patients with lesions involving trachea/ airway

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
â?¢ The rate of accurate placement of lung isolation devices with or without airway measurements by pre-intubation FOBTimepoint: During surgery

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
â?¢ To see the incidence of failed device placement or malposition at initial insertion. â?¢ Incidence of repositioning of the isolation device during the intraoperative period â?¢ The incidence of appropriate size DLT insertionTimepoint: During surgery
