Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients of either gender aged between 18- 65 years, belonging to American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) physical status 1 and 2, scheduled for surgery under general anesthesia requiring tracheal intubation, who will be intubated using LMA CTrach•

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Mouth opening less than 2.5cms 2. Patients with history suggestive of gastro-esophageal reflux disease 3. Morbid obesity 4. Pregnancy 5. Oropharyngeal surgery 6. Use of nasogastric tube or throat pack 7. Pharyngeal or esophageal pathology 8. Surgeries of duration > 240 minutes
