Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Adult patients in age group 18-80 yr 2. ASA grade I,II, III 3. Open abdominal surgeries- gastrectomy, radical cholecystectomy, Whippleâ??s, exploratory laparotomy, anterior resection, abdominoperineal resection, colectomy, interval cytoreduction, hysterectomy, radical cystectomy and retroperitoneal lymph node dissection (RPLND)
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Refusal of consent 2. Paediatric patient ( 18yrs) 3. Laparoscopic surgery 4. Hepatectomy. 5. Patients requiring postoperative ventilation beyond the day of surgery. 6. Patients with cognitive impairment 7. Patients with drug intolerance 8. Illiterate patients those who cannot read Hindi English and Marathi
