Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Cerebral palsy patients with hemi-/di-/tri-/quadri-plegia within the age group of 6-15years of either gender, admitted for rehabilitation in the PMR department, Christian Medical College, Vellore.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Presence of bleeding disorders, Sensory impairment that prevent appreciation of stimulus, Local hand infection/inflammation/other painful conditions, Inability to follow simple 2 step commands.

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Hand function measured by the Box and Block testTimepoint: After the termination of 4 weeks of therapy either on the last day of therapy or on the following day.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Ability to perform the Activities of Daily Living (ADL) as measured by Modified Barthel IndexTimepoint: After the termination of 4 weeks of therapy either on the last day of therapy or on the following day.
