Eligibility
Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Clinical criteria • Age between 5-9 years. • Development normal for age • No defects in tooth formation. • Two primary teeth with broad cavitated occlusal or cervical lesion with dentinal involvement & open access • Carious lesion of medium hard consistency & light yellow to brown in colour. 2. Radiographic criteria • lesion with clearly visible radiolucency extending into, but confined to outer dentine
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: • Presence of spontaneous pain symptomatolgy • Teeth with pulpal involvement, furcation, periapical pathology or interproximal caries • Any systemic disease or antibiotic use for at least 2 weeks prior to study
