Intervention1: cerebrolysin hydrolysate: cerebrolysin is administered at doses of 60mg in normal saline slow infusion over 60min two times a day for 10 days to be started on day 3 of brain injury. C

Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Brain injury patients with glasgow coma score of less than 10 at admission and age greater than 18 years and less than 60 years. CT scan brain should be available. Pre-injury Karnofsky score should be 100% Written and valid consent of relatives Medicine admnistered after 48 hours of the injury

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: less than 18 years or allergic/ hypersensitivity reaction to the medicine Pregnant patient pre-existing illness Alcohol dependancy
