Interventions

Intervention1: Magnesium sulphate along with Lignocaine 2% and bupivacaine 0.5% mixture: Dose: 50 mg Route of administration: pribulbar block Frequency: once at the time of administration of peribulba

Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: All ASA I to III patients, aged > 18 yr to <75 years, undergoing ophthalmic surgery under peribulbar block.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: i. Refusal to participate by patient ii. Mental retardation iii. History of bleeding disorder iv. Allergy to local anaesthetics

1. To evaluate the effect of addition of magnesium sulphate to standard local anesthetics mixture on the time for onset of akinesia of the globe for peribulbar anaesthesia in ophthalmic surgeries.Timepoint: 1.at completion of the block 2. at 3mins,5 mins interval till complete akinesia is established	—
