Intervention1: Vitamin D and calcium supplementation : ARM 1 :- Intervention is Vitamin D supplementation with 6 lac IU of cholecalcifrol intramuscular followed by 60,000 IU oral every month for 6 mon

Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1 Acute ischaemic stroke within 7 days of onset. 2. Modified Rankin Score 3. Healthy age and gender matched controls.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Those on Vitamin D and calcium supplements 2. Hepatic and Renal impairment 3. Those who underwent thrombolysis 4. Rheumatic heart disease
