Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Morbidly obese patients with fatty liver detected clinically or by radilogical studies willing to participate in the trial after written and informed consent Morbid Obesity being defined as those with BMI >40 or those with BMI >35 with obesity related comorbid illness

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients having significant alcohol intake , chronic viral infection of liver, metabolic diseases affecting liver or exposure to hepatotoxic drugs and those who are not willing to undergo a repeat liver biopsy
