Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Male Patients diagnosed with COPD 2. with in the age group of 40 to 75 years. 3. Able to give informed consent. 4. Able to perform all study related procedures. 5. Diagnosis of COPD according to GOLD criteria. 6. Smoker for at least 10 pack years. 7. Absence of other major co morbidities such as liver or renal failure or cardiac diseases not related to COPD. 8. Current smokers

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Patient diagnosed as COPD with age below 40 years. 2. Not willing to give informed consent. 3. Not able to perform all study related procedures. 4. Smoker for less than 10 pack years. 5. Associated with other chronic pulmonary diseases such as congenital bronchiectasis /ILD/tuberculosis. 6.Associated with other major co morbidity such as liver or renal failure or cardiac diseases or vital organ failure
