Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: All patients admitted to ICU above 18 years of age.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: • Elective surgical patients • icu stay less than 24 hrs • patients already having invasive bacterial infections ( c/s-+ve). • Re- admission to ICU. • Patients in whom admission surveillance cultures are not obtained or are obtained outside the specified time window of 24 hours
