Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Known case of Kapha pradhan Tamaka shwas (predominance of Kapha dosha), exhibiting the following lakshanas (symptoms) of avegavastha (not of acute attack) intermittently for more than 1 year. • Rudhha & Ghurghurakam (Wheezing), • Teevravegam ( Dyspnoea of severe intensity), • Shayane shwas peeditah (Exaggeration of dyspnoea in lying down position), • Meghambu sheet pragvate viverdhate, shleshmalaich viverdhate (increase in the symptoms due to cold & kaphavardhak ahara and vihara)

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Patient with gross involvement of Tri-marma [3 marmas are Shira (Head), Basti (Bladder), Hridaya (heart)]. It reflects the disorders of psychiatric, neurological, cardiac, hepatic or renal origin. 2. Patient having history of excessive intercourse/exercise/mental fatigue 3. Garbhini and Sutika (in women of child bearing age, urine pregnancy test will be performed to rule out pregnancy 4. Patient suffering from debilitating disorders such as urahkshata (chest injury) and kshataksheena (emaciation resulting from injury), parshwa shoola (pain in the sides of the chest). 5. Patient suffering from diseases having urdhwa pravrutti such as raktapitta (Bleeding in upward direction like haematemesis, epistaxis) and udawarta (upward movement of Vata in the form of hiccup and belching). 6. Patient who has experienced panchakarma vyapada (unwanted effects/ complications previously). 7. Patient who has received any of the panchakarma procedure in last 2 months 8. Patient suffering from any of the following disorders contraindicated for Vaman Timir (Blindness) Arsha (Piles) Gulma (Mass in the abdomen) Asthila (Prostatic Hypertrophy) 9. X-ray (chest) suggestive of acute respiratory condition 10. Patient with abnormal ECG
