Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Neonates of either sex admitted in the NICU in whom a longline insertion is therapeutically indicated. Parents of the neonates should provide written informed consent
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Neonates in whom the blood culture report or septic screen is positive prior to insertion of longline Neonates in whom the blood culture becomes positive within 48 hours of insertion of the longline
