Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
â?¢ Determination of indications (staging, restaging/ recurrence, chemotherapy treatment response, and radiation treatment response evaluation) for 18[F] FDG PET-CT in esophageal cancer. â?¢ Determination of the prevalence of esophageal cancer in different age group, gender, tumor location in esophagus (upper, middle, lower), histological type (squamous cell carcinoma and adenocarcinoma). Timepoint: 3 months

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
â?¢ Determination of Responder and non-Responder to the concurrent chemo- radiotherapy for esophageal cancer with the help of 18[F] FDG PET/CT and compare percentage decrease in maximum standardized uptake values (SUVmax) in pretreatment and post treatment scan. â?¢ Determination of most common metastatic site in metastatic esophageal carcinoma.
