Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: case inclusion criteria 1)Subject aged over 18 years old. 2)Patients having diagnosis of type 1 or type 2 diabetes as defined by American Diabetes Association (ADA 2011) criteria. 3)Subject able to provide consent to participate in the study. CONTROL Inclusion Criteria 1)Males and females of age between 18-80. 2)Absence of diagnosed type 1 and type 2 diabetes mellitus or any history of diabetes i.e. HbA1c level 3)Subject able to provide consent to participate in the study.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: CASE Exclusion Criteria: Patient with recent periodontal treatment for atleast 3 months. CONTROL Exclusion Criteria Pregnant or lactating women.
