Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: ASA grade 1 and 2 undergoing laproscopic cholecystectomy

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Morbid obese hypertension Renal,Caddiac, cerebrovascular, Hepatic diseases and endocrine dysfunction Alcohol/ Drug abuse Patients taking antidepressatns/ antihypertensives/ antiepileptic drugs Pregnancy

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
to find the efficacy of different low doses intravenous clonidine on hemodynamic stability during intubation, pneumoperitoneum and extubationTimepoint: Preoperatively ,after study drug ,1 min after induction,1 min & 5 min after intubation, before pneumoperitoneum ,at 5,10,20,30,40min after pneumoperitonium ,just after extubation ,post operatively at 15 and 30 minutes

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
1).To study the efficacy of low dose clonidine on anesthesia requirement and recovery profile 2). To compare the efficacy of different doses of clonidine on hemodynamic stability, anesthesia requirement and recovery profileTimepoint: 1)time to extubation 2)recovery time- time to response to verbal commands(spontaneous eye opening)and orintation time( to recollect name, date of birth and location)
