Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Male and female patients 30 - 80 years old • Patients with first or consequent acute myocardial infarction who survive to hospital discharge. Myocardial infarction will be confirmed by standard definition (symptoms, cardiac enzymes and electrocardiographic changes).28 Those that have undergone a revascularisation procedure during previous or current admission will also be eligible. • Willing and able to attend the complete hospital-based CR programme on their own • Patients who are willing to consent.
