Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: (1) Patients developing acute onset motor and/or sensory and/or sphincteric disturbance with/without a definite sensory level. (2) Neurological deficit maximal within 72 hours of symptom onset and no progression over 3 weeks. (3) Absence of mass lesion or structural abnormality on MRI.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: (1)Presence of other known neurological diseases. (2)Clinical or radiological signs of involvement of brain matter. (3)H/O trauma to spinal cord. (4)H/O radiation to the spine in previous 10 years.
