Eligibility
Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 40 consecutive ASA I and II children, aged 5-15 years, weighing 10-40 kg, scheduled for elective surgery below umbilicus
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: intracranial hypertension, hemorrhagic disorder, neurological disorders (hydrocephalus, CSF draining devices, demyelinating disease of CNS), puncture site infection, spinal deformity etc.
