: Trial details: 40 consecutive patients of intraocular retinoblastoma were recruited for the study.

Eligibility
Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: patients with retinoblastoma with age ranging from newborn to 8 year were included.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. where written consent was not available from parents of the children 2.where the physical condition of the patient does not allow collection of blood sample by venepuncture.
