Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: All patients had clinical symptoms of knee osteoarthritis for at least 1 month prior to the study and suffering from mild to severe knee pain (with or without morning stiffness of 30 minutes duration).These patients had radiological evidence of osteophytes with findings like marginal lipping ,narrowing of joint space,osteoporosis.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: patients with establishbed hypertension ,renal,hepatic or cardiac failure ,patients on long term corticosteroid treatment ,patients with biochemical and clinical evidence of Rheumatoid arthritis or gout and those who were unwilling to give informed consent form were excludedd from the study
