Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Primary Caregivers of in-patients who have been diagnosed with schizophrenia (According to ICD 10, F20, F25 and F29). 2. Caregivers of patients who have been ill at least for a minimum of 3 months. 3. Caregivers who continue care giving for the patient even after discharge from the hospital 4. Caregivers who are willing to participate daily in yoga/psychosocial training for a period of 7 days. 6. Language known by caregivers: Tamil, Kannada, Hindi or English

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Caregivers diagnosed with having severe psychiatric or neurological disorders 2. Caregivers having another relative with psychiatric or neurological illness 3. Caregivers who have undergone formal yoga training (certificate course from a recognized institute) and practicing yoga regularly for the past 1 month. 4. Caregivers who have already gone through the yoga training programme by Swami Vivekanand Yoga Anusandhanam Samastha (SVYASA).
