Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: ? Displaced Intra articular calcaneal fracture ? Patients age ? Bilateral calcaneal fractures are also included under the study ? Fracture should be ? Informed written consent of the patient for the study

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: ? Patient age > 60 years of age ? Cases in which there is sensory/motor loss in bilateral lower limbs like assosciated head injury or paraplegia ? Undisplaced fractures ( Saunders type 1 ) ? Extra articular fractures ? Pathological fractures ? Open fractures ? Presence of peripheral vascular disease ? Skin infection ? Fractures developing compartment syndrome
