Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 200 consecutive pregnant women attending antenatal clinic of at Queen Mary Hospital in CSMMU (former KGMC) will be enrolled into the study after taking informed consent.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients already on calcium or on vitamine D supplementation, on anticonvulsants, on antitubercular treatment or having any medical condition affecting calcium and vitamin D metabolism (eg. renal or liver disease) will be excluded.
