Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Children 1 month to 12 years of age fulfilling the criteria forr diagnosis of Kawasaki disease viz. fever (temperature exceeding 38°C) accompanied by the presence of at least 4 of the following 5 findings: bilateral conjunctival injection, changes in the lips and oral cavity, non-purulent conjunctivitis, cervical lymphadenopathy, polymorphous exanthema, and changes in the extremities.

Aortic stiffness in form of aortic strain, pressure strain elastic modulus and normalized pressure strain elastic modulus.Timepoint: At diagnosis, 2-3 weeks and 6-8 weeks in new cases and at the time of enrollment in old cases and controls.—
