Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Group A: Long-term yoga meditator will be enrolled in the study (n=10) Age:20-60 years practicing meditation for >5 years Practicing meditation at least5 days a week,minimumof 20min/session Group B:The healthy subjects attending one of the courses at Integral Healthy Clinic,Department of Physiology,AIIMS will be recriuted as short termmeditators/ yoga practitioners (n=30) Group C: Age and sex matched healthy subjects (n=30) noptpracticing any type of yoga/meditation at least for last 2 years.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: EXCLUSION CRITERIA: Any type of alcoholics and smokers. History of immunological disorders.

MeasureTime frame
The PET investigation of regional cerebral glucose metabolism(rCMRGlucose) in long-term yoga/meditation practitioners during meditation may show significant increase in the ratio of rCMRGLucose in anterior (frontal areas) to posterior (occipital areas) regions of interest (ROIs) as compared to the baseline PET-CT scan.Timepoint: 3 years

MeasureTime frame
The effect of yoga on stress management by studying various biochemical markers i.e.cortisol,beta-endorphin, IL-4, IL-6, IL-10, IL-12, TNF-alpha and IFN -gamma may be validated.Timepoint: 3 years
