Interventions

Intervention1: Yoga Based Lifestyle Program: 1 hour daily for 5 days a week for 3 months followed by daily one hour of home practice, followed by supervised teaching for 2 hours weekly for 9 months. C

Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Established type II diabetes on oral hypoglycemic agents or insulin willing to participate in the year long study

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients with vital organ damage such as Coronary Artery; Disease or strokes or Chronic Renal Failure; Patients with proliferative retinopathy; Amyotrophy or Proximal muscle disease; Severe arterial disease
