Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: ?Patients of either sex, age group 12-45 years, presenting to study physician within 48hrs of onset of symptoms. Patients presents with signs/symptoms Leptospirosis like illnesses: Abrupt onset of fever with severe headache, myalgia, suffusion of conjunctiva and vomiting. Written informed consent.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Patients with signs/symptoms of jaundice, renal insufficiency, cardiac involvement, meningitis/ meningoencephalitis and pulmonary involvement. Patients with mixed presentation, arising suspicion of a mixed infection. Who have received other medication within the 48 hours before entry into the study. Inability to comply with the study protocol, including psychiatric diseases, low intelligence level. Immune compromised or with other clinically active illness. But cases of diabetes that is under control will be included. Pregnant women. Lactating mother.
