Brief summary
The Wheelchair Skills Test (WST) and its questionnaire version (WST-Q) are two measures of wheelchair skills that can be used clinically, or for educational or research purposes. An online application/registry is available that allows people to enter WST and/or WST-Q data. Over the past few years, we have accumulated over 500 datasets and the app remains open. The purpose of this study is to describe the data collected to date (a retrospective analysis) and use the data to assess the measurement properties of the tests. For the prospective component of the study, we plan to repeat the analyses as the data accumulates (e.g., every time an additional 500 data sets become available).
Interventions
Users on an online RedCap app enter clinical or research Wheelchair Skills Test (WST) data (that takes about 30 minutes to complete) and/or Wheelchair Skills Test Questionnaire (WST-Q) data (that takes about 10 minutes to complete) reflecting the test subject's capacity, performance, confidence and/or frequency for each of 30 individual wheelchair skills. The Manual describing the two tests and the forms used can be found at https://wheelchairskillsprogram.ca/en/skills-manual-forms/. The WST and/or WST-Q may be administered by a clinical or research tester or may be self-administered.
