Brief summary
The primary purpose of this study is to assess new manual wheelchair users’ self-reported wheelchair skills performance and confidence at time of discharge from an inpatient rehabilitation hospital. The wheelchair users will complete a short wheelchair skills questionnaire just before they are discharged from the hospital. We hypothesize that most of these wheelchair users will have received wheelchair skills training during their inpatient stay, but that some may not be aware that they received formal training. We expect that the findings of this study will help us identify areas to improve a new wheelchair users readiness for community mobility.
