Brief summary
Babies born very prematurely or with brain-related complications at birth are at higher risk of cerebral palsy. A specialised video assessment called the General Movements Assessment (GMA) can help detect cerebral palsy early. This study tests the usability of a smartphone app , Baby Moves VIEW, among 25 parents of high-risk infants. The app allows parents to record their baby's movements at home and securely send the video to a clinician for review.
Interventions
Baby Moves VIEW (Video Evaluation Web) smart phone app. This app enables parents to record videos of their baby’s movements for remote General Movements Assessment (GMA) by a certified assessor. Traditionally, parents will bring their babies for face-to-face appointments to trained clinicians who will record a baby’s spontaneous movements with a video camera and later review the video for the GMA. The GMA has high predictive validity for cerebral palsy and is recommended for use at 3-4 months within early cerebral palsy detection guidelines and preterm follow up care pathways. The Baby Moves VIEW app aims to circumvent issues relating to assessment scheduling and access to increase the availability of the GMA. This trial will test the usability and acceptability of the Baby Moves VIEW app in up to 25 participants. All participants will be asked to engage in two 1:1 semi-structured usability interviews to determine if there are any errors with the app or usability issues in the app flow and process. The first interview will focus on installing and setting up the app, and the second interview will focus on the usability of the app while recording their child at home. There is only one, 3-minute video to be recorded. The quality of the video recording will be checked manually against a checklist by researchers. We will record the number of videos that can be successfully viewed and assessed using the General Movements Assessment. Parents will also respond to a usability questionnaire using a modified mHealth App Usability Questionnaire and questions based on the Theoretical Framework of Acceptability. The interviews will be conducted by the lead researcher and PhD student. Interviews will be recorded using Zoom teleconferencing software and transcribed by Otter.ai. Each interview is expected to last 30 minutes' duration each. An additional 1:1 semi-structured interview with the support of an interpreter as appropriate will be conducted with 5-8 participants from an Arabic-speaking background to understand their cross-cultural perspectives of early screening. The final 1:1 interview with Arabic-speaking participants being up to 60 minutes. A maximum of 25 participants will be asked to participate.

Inclusion criteria
* Parents of infants born 32 weeks with neurological complications at birth * At least one parent uses a phone that is compliant with Baby Moves VIEW * Infant has or will be seen by medical and allied health follow-up at the Royal Women’s Hospital * Parent can read and understand English or Arabic * Parents of singleton infants or sole surviving multiple infant
Exclusion criteria
Parents of infants born with lethal anomalies Parents of infants who remain inpatients at 12-16 weeks’ corrected age
