Brief summary
We will be using a web-based STI testing service as the intervention with traditional in-person STI testing conducted at MSHC acting as the control. The web-based service will allow users to create an account with Test it (also creating a client record at MSHC), complete an automated questionnaire and obtain an electronic pathology form for STI testing. This trial will give us important information about diagnosis and testing rates among MSHC MSM clients with the introduction of Test it. This service will bring improved testing access to all Victoria, including those who participate in the project. Additionally, this research will improve advancement of knowledge around digital sexual health and online STI testing.
Interventions
We will be using a web-based STI testing service as the intervention. The web-based service will allow users to create an account with Test it (also creating a client record at Melbourne Sexual Health Centre (MSHC)), complete an automated questionnaire and obtain an electronic pathology form for STI testing. The automated questionnaire will ask standard sexual and related health history questions using built in logic (i.e. number of partners, gender of partner, use of contraception or pre-expo
We will be using a web-based STI testing service as the intervention. The web-based service will allow users to create an account with Test it (also creating a client record at Melbourne Sexual Health Centre (MSHC)), complete an automated questionnaire and obtain an electronic pathology form for STI testing. The automated questionnaire will ask standard sexual and related health history questions using built in logic (i.e. number of partners, gender of partner, use of contraception or pre-exposure prophylaxis for HIV (PrEP) , etc.). The answers to these questions will determine what test will be ordered for each client, including blood tests for HIV, syphilis and HCV and urine, throat and anorectal swabs for chlamydia and gonorrhoea. The samples will be tested bo the pathology centre with results sent to MSHC for nurse review (~3-7 days). Once results have been released by the nurse, users will be sent an automated SMS o log into their account and check the results.

Inclusion criteria
Any MSHC client who is a man who has sex with men and has tested positive for a bacterial STI (chlamydia, gonorrhoea, syphilis) in the last 3 months and is recommended for re-testing according to guidelines.
Exclusion criteria
Under the age of 16 Residing outside of Victoria or a bordering town with reciprocal healthcare agreements Exhibiting symptoms of an STI (except for urethral/vaginal discharge) Self-identify as a sex worker (requiring job-related documentation)
