Brief summary

The aim is to measure motor impairments, fear of falling, and quality of life in Parkinson's disease patients receiving LCIG pump treatment. after 12-week yoga training program. Yoga exercises will be an effective form of therapy for balance disorders, muscle tremor, and will improve the quality of life by enhancing the performance of daily activities.

Interventions

The yoga group (the experimental group) will participate in 60-minute hatha yoga sessions and 15-minute relaxation training (using the Schultz method) twice a week, for 12 weeks. Yoga instructor will perform the session. The intesity will be moderate and will be assessed with Borg RPE. The session attendance checklists and exercise diary will be used to monitor adherence to the intervention. Inclusion criteria

- aged 50 years and over - diagnosed with Parkinson's disease and undergoing infusion therapy using a Duodopa pump, - conscious and voluntary willingness to participate in the study, expressed through written consent, - no history of surgeries or injuries to the lower or upper limbs in the last 6 months, - absence of cognitive impairments and symptoms of depression (MMSE < 24/MoCA < 26)

Exclusion criteria

- Advanced Parkinson's disease, defined as stage 5 according to the Hoehn and Yahr scale (inability to stand up or walk independently). - Need for additional aids during standing lasting less than 40 seconds. - Presence of other comorbidities preventing participation in the study (e.g., visual impairments, seizures, vestibular disorders, cancer, chronic systemic and inflammatory diseases, acute inflammation, unstable coronary artery disease, uncontrolled hypertension).
