65 years and older Fractured neck of femur

Exclusion criteria

Dementia or any cognitive deficit Delirium on admission Used steroids in the last 7 days Significant and poorly controlled diabetes (glucose >12 mmol/l on admission) Systemic infection Unable to read and speak English
