Brief summary

we are trying to popularize the use of LMA in children in our department so that it becomes a basic skill of our junior as well as senior staff anesthesiologists as it is sometimes becomes a life saving tool in difficult intubation situations

Interventions

the ease of LMA insertion from the first attempt in children at induction of general anesthesia together with any problems that would accompany the procedure during operative time and immediate post-operative will be recorded

Inclusion criteria

pediatric surgical patients admitted for any short term surgery

Exclusion criteria

abnrmality of the airway , any sure indication for endotracheal tube placement
