Brief summary

The aim of the study is to evaluate the handgrip strength and physical performance of elderly patients attending a Brazilian home care service.

Interventions

Data collection and evaluation of an elderly care service at home by reading charts and evaluation of physical performance and grip strength over 2 months. The patient will be assessed once at baseline. The aproximate duration of the assessments is about 30 minutes.

Inclusion criteria

aged (60 years old or more), cognitive ability, ability to walk with or without gait support (walking stick, walker)

Exclusion criteria

cognitive impairment, acute illness.
