Brief summary
This study seeks to determine the effect of application of cricoid pressure on the laryngoscopic view using a cMac video laryngoscope and secondly to assess if whether having the person applying the cricoid viewing the video feed assists in improving the laryngoscopic view.
Interventions
Phase 1: laryngoscopy without cricoid pressure; 5 seconds
Phase 2: with cricoid pressure without video assist; 5 seconds and
Phase 3: with cricoid pressure with video assist.10 seconds

patient requiring elective intubation for surgery

requiring rapid sequence induction, unable to give consent, unable to communicate in english.
