Often they have several problems such as psychological problems, debts, low quality of life, physical problems and a lack of social support. The transition from a shelter to independent or supported housing is a critical moment which brings along stress and the chance of relapse in homelessness.

The PhD candidate who is responsible for carrying out the research activities is Danielle Lako.Women who are victims of partner or honor-related violence are a socially vulnerable group in Dutch society. Often they have several problems such as psychological problems (symptoms of depression and post-traumatic stress-disorder) and physical problems (injuries, chronic pain, gastro-intestinal problems, sexually transmitted diseases and urinary tract infections), low quality of life, debts and a lack of social support. Research showed that the experienced problems are often chronic and contin
